Well it depends! Are you interested in a Grad program or Undergrad?

Funding is assured, when someone is admitted into a PhD program. When it comes to Masters, funding usually is tagged along TA/RA, which is hard to come by the very first semester for most cases, unless you can convince a professor through emails with regards to your accomplishments and how you can be a great fit to his team. The general idea is that you take a couple of classes, with the professors you want to work, in your first semester and then should you perform well, solicit funding.

Undergrad is an altogether different story; ASU rarely extend scholarships and most students that I personally knew were only able to secure some amounts after performing well in their 1st semester. You can however qualify for some sponsored scholarships tied to ASU, which can be searched at Scholarship Search (Many have specific requirements).

Does Parsons New School of Design give merit-based scholarships to international students on the basis of portfolio or grade?

Does Parsons New School of Design give merit-based scholarships to international students on the basis of portfolio or grade?2021-07-08 09:58:21Mr_刁

Yes, there are merit-based scholarships at Parsons for exceptional talent. However, the amounts vary quite a bit, unlikely to be full scholarships. They do have many options for financial aid, ranging from deferred payment schedules and work-study programs. If the department you go into really likes you and your talent, they often try to find additional opportunities for you to earn money.

You may have a good portfolio in your own opinion or in the eyes of your family, but you are competing with everyone else in the world or thinks they do as well. Take a look at the work of the graduating class and people who are successful after graduating and ask yourself if your work is truly competitive.

Does Purdue University give scholarships to international (Indian) students?

Does Purdue University give scholarships to international (Indian) students?2021-08-24 01:20:15Mr_幸

Thanks for A2A
I am afraid I bear bad news here as Purdue University does not give any need-based or even merit-based scholarship to International students especially for the first year (to the best of my knowledge).
But there are always private scholarships to compete for and once you start college, you can find any and every part-time job to help you pay your living expenses if not the tuition.

Does the University of Toronto have scholarships for international students?

Does the University of Toronto have scholarships for international students?2021-08-08 14:30:18Mr_容

TLDR: Yes.

There is the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship for the international students.

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years. The scholarship is tenable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry, undergraduate programs.

There are also some other requirements for the scholarship

To become a Pearson Scholar, you must be nominated by your school and apply to undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. Ask your school guidance counsellor about being nominated. Once you’ve been nominated and have applied to the University of Toronto, you will be sent a personalized, secure link to the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship application.

You need to be nominated by your school, instead of filling out an application. If nominated, there will be a second round of application. However, if you receive such scholarship, you will be covered for the duration of your study at university of Toronto. There will be a limited recepients for the prestigious award, so I would recommend to really focus on your application and show your forte.

Don’t worry if you are already in U of T. There are also plenty of scholarships available online for you to find as well.

Does Princeton give full scholarships to international students?

Does Princeton give full scholarships to international students?2021-08-23 21:27:55Mr_牧

Yes.

There are 5 main US schools (and a few specialist schools like music conservatoires) that are both need-blind - meaning that the family’s ability to pay is not considered in making an admissions decision, and full-need in that they promise to meet a students full financial need over four years.

Princeton is one of them. The others are Harvard, Yale, MIT, and Amherst.

Additionally, there are a few schools that used to be need-blind, full-need, but now are NBFN “to the extent that resources allow”. Schools like Dartmouth, Lawrence, Middlebury and Williams have a track record of being quite generous to internationals who they want, but make no promises.

There are also a few schools including Stanford and Columbia, which are need-aware (the opposite of need-blind) but full-need. Here it is much, much, much harder to get in if you require significant aid, but if you get in anyway, even with them knowing that, then they will provide enough financial aid for you to be able to attend.
