Does UBC give scholarships to international students?2021-06-23 03:53:01【Mr_濮】
UBC gives a few scholarships to the top 1% of international applicants for undergraduate study. Most international applicants get nothing for undergraduate study.
UBC has more robust financial support for graduate students mostly in STEM programs and this will vary by program. In fact they make a commitment to fund EVERY PhD student accepted to the tune of $18,000 per year (minimum amount of funding).
All of this could have been found on the UBC website but I think you decided to spend more time coming up with your fake name than looking for information.
What if my college doesn't give scholarships to international students, can I apply for some external means of scholarship?
Yes, many other charities and trusts provide scholarship based on ethnicity, merit, economic weakness or other criteria to students. There are dedicated websites like International Scholarships
Why does China or other countries give scholarships to international students?
Countries like China are forward looking and plan long range. Education has always been held in high esteem by Asians all over the world. In their future they see the need for the brightest citizens of the nation as the leaders of their nation. To do so requires the education and experience to develop their leaders of the future. They do so to advance their economic, social, and political agenda and well being. What better way to make this happen than to provide scholarship to these bright students so that irregardless of their economic situation, they are able to concentrate on their studies and advance the desires of it’s citizens for a better future by having the ‘best of the best’ lead them to this future. Scholarships are an investment to the future.
In this vein, national leadership does not focus just on political astuteness, but should encompass a broad spectrum of fields and venues. From agriculture to science, from economics to politics, a wide range of disciplines are required to keep society strong and healthy. The advancements in medicine, healthcare, and technology are equally important as the social, welfare, and human issues that face society. Likewise, foreign students who study in China give two gifts to China. First they allow people of foreign countries to understand China better, and second they allow Chinese students to interact with foreign students so they understand other points of view, culture, and thought.
It is interesting to note that the meteoric rise of China over the last 40 years was authored by politicians whose backgrounds were in broad and diverse fields of science, engineering, technology, law, finance, and politics. It was not co-opted by lawyers and political lackys whose main purpose is personal economic reward.
It is also interesting to note that if you peer into the history of China, years and centuries of past emperors have held academics in high esteem. The Imperial Examination allowed a level playing field for those seeking government positions irregardless of their economic and social standing. China’s government is structured on ‘meritocracy’ and that has carried on to this day. One only need to look at the bio for Xi Jinping, the current President of China. His rise exemplifies the promotion of those successful at governance from the bottom to rise to the top of the best China has to offer. Xi, in his career, lived with an American family while studying American agricultural techniques. Xi has a Doctorate in Law degree.

Does Stanford give athletics scholarships?
A2A. Does Stanford give athletics scholarships?
Details: “What other universities/colleges in the US give athletics scholarships (for soccer team recruits).”
Stanford is different because if you look how they evaluate their applications, you will see that, “In some cases, exceptional abilities in athletics may influence our decision if the applicant is otherwise well qualified, but such abilities never, by themselves, ensure admission to Stanford.” See Our Selection Process
Most US Universities give athletes scholarship for sports that they compete in. Athletes are recruited by universities. If you are a soccer player that have won titles, you would indicate that in your personal statement.
There are also walk on who compete for a spot on the team. If they are successful, they will be offered scholarships the following year.
Does ASU give scholarships to international students?
Well it depends! Are you interested in a Grad program or Undergrad?
Funding is assured, when someone is admitted into a PhD program. When it comes to Masters, funding usually is tagged along TA/RA, which is hard to come by the very first semester for most cases, unless you can convince a professor through emails with regards to your accomplishments and how you can be a great fit to his team. The general idea is that you take a couple of classes, with the professors you want to work, in your first semester and then should you perform well, solicit funding.
Undergrad is an altogether different story; ASU rarely extend scholarships and most students that I personally knew were only able to secure some amounts after performing well in their 1st semester. You can however qualify for some sponsored scholarships tied to ASU, which can be searched at Scholarship Search
Does Parsons New School of Design give merit-based scholarships to international students on the basis of portfolio or grade?
Yes, there are merit-based scholarships at Parsons for exceptional talent. However, the amounts vary quite a bit, unlikely to be full scholarships. They do have many options for financial aid, ranging from deferred payment schedules and work-study programs. If the department you go into really likes you and your talent, they often try to find additional opportunities for you to earn money.
You may have a good portfolio in your own opinion or in the eyes of your family, but you are competing with everyone else in the world or thinks they do as well. Take a look at the work of the graduating class and people who are successful after graduating and ask yourself if your work is truly competitive.

Are there scholarships for MBBS for international students in Europe?
Thanks for the A2A.
MBBS (or its equivalent) in the EU is not an easy task. as you might be aware, it is a highly expensive ordeal especially for international students.
i dont think there are many fully funded scholarships awarded to international students. in the UK (i've taken this as an example as i've studied here), the big name universities like Oxford and Cambridge have programs which offer funding to students of any nationality. you can definitely look into those. but you should be aware that these are extremely competitive and are handful in number.
oxford university offers RDM scholarship for international students and cambridge offers the cambridge international scholarship for students from all countries.
these are just a few examples. you can look up scholarship programs in your target university.
hope this helps.
